10. Note on Affiliate Links

TripForge contains affiliate links to travel providers such as Booking.com, GetYourGuide and Kiwi.com. If you book through these links, we receive a commission from the respective provider. This does not result in any additional costs for you. The affiliate partners set their own cookies when you click on these links to enable booking attribution.

11. Shared Trip Websites (Links for Fellow Travelers)

When you publish a trip, TripForge creates a standalone trip website with a shareable URL. This website is unlisted by default: it does not appear in our gallery and is marked with a noindex signal for search engines. However, it is accessible without login to anyone who knows the link — anyone with the link can view this sheet.

The trip website displays in particular: the first names of the travelers in the personal dedication (if you provided names — last names are never rendered), destination and travel dates, the daily itinerary with activities, estimated costs, flight details and — if you entered it — the accommodation address.

The legal basis for providing the trip website is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract — the shareable trip website is the core function of the service). Passing on the link is your own decision. If you enter data of fellow travelers (e.g. first names), please inform them beforehand.

Revoking access: When you archive the trip, the trip website is no longer accessible; the URL then returns HTTP status 410 (Gone), so search engines and caches drop the page as well. Deleting the trip removes the website files entirely.
